About African Ecosystems Intelligence
ABOUT AEI
Locally led.
Technology enabled.
Action oriented.
WHO WE ARE
A clearer picture of Africa's entrepreneurial ecosystems.
African Ecosystems Intelligence (AEI) is an initiative led by Urban Inclusion, working with African research and advisory partners and powered by EcoMap Technology.
We bring together technology, local research and ecosystem expertise to help decision-makers better understand Africa's entrepreneurial ecosystems.
WHY AEI?
Fragmented information makes fundamental questions harder to answer.
Information about businesses, support organisations, programmes, capital and ecosystem activity is often fragmented across databases, reports, websites, social media and local networks.
AEI is being developed to help answer some fundamental questions:
Who is doing what?
Where?
For whom?
Where are the gaps?
What is changing?
FROM MAPPING TO INTELLIGENCE
From a map of what exists to an understanding of what it means.
Mapping shows what exists.
AEI adds local research, verification, and analysis to understand what it means.
The ambition is simple.
Better intelligence for better ecosystem decisions.
